Funny Dogs is an adventure game created in GB Studio. I tried to follow the tradition of classic retro games from NES and Gameboy, which I played in my childhood. The game features pixel art graphics, a limited palette and nice catchy chiptune music.
The game can be played in a browser or you can download the ROM for the Gameboy. The playthrough takes about two hours, but the game has a save feature so you don't necessarily have to play through it in one run.

This is truly an incredible game. The music, characters and art style are all top notch.. it's even a bit more challenging towards the end than I would have expected. Truly a home brew masterpiece, and exactly why I love gbstudio so much. Thank you for sharing this fun little game with the world!
Thank you so much! I'm very happy that you enjoyed my game. I agree that we are all very lucky that GB Studio exists. Thanks to this software, we can create our own little worlds.
This is a really great game but I think I may have hit a bug. I got the prediction from the fortune teller that I would be an artist's muse. I then helped out the artist by the pond and she said I was her muse but when I went back to the fortuneteller she just kept giving me the same prediction and telling me to come back when it had been fullfilled. The painting of the building with the rainbow is hanging in the building foyer and I have tried interacting with that and the granny nearby but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I can't find the artist again to speak to her.
This looks like a bug! This should not happen, I will definitely fix it. In the meantime, you can start the game over and the fortune teller will give you a different prediction.
Great graphics and fun to play through, I give it 10/10 dogs.
I had a really great time with this! A very well made, beautiful game with some fun puzzles to solve! One of the best GB Studio games I've ever played! Well done!
I did find one bug that you might want to fix: in the time it takes for each funny dog to disappear, it's possible to press A and get another Funny Dog picture appear. I found that if I mash the A button in front of the first dog in the game I can quickly get to the end screen without doing anything.
I also noticed this. Absolutely agree about being very well made. I'd like see the soundtrack available as a stand alone download. I'd pay for it even, its so good.
Oh no, that's really bad. I should definitely get this fixed. Thanks for the bugreport and for the kind words!
Played for about 20 mins so far and the game is really fun. I like the setting and the characters I have encountered so far. The music and sprite work on fantastic. My only criticism is that I wish the character movement was 8 directional instead of 4.
Thank you!
